Ah, ACID Cigars—where tradition meets a mad scientist's laboratory of aroma and flavor! Born out of Brooklyn and handcrafted in Nicaragua, the ACID brand is a rebellious creation by Drew Estate, the company famous for shaking up the premium cigar world with unconventional ideas and bold innovation.

The Origins:

ACID Cigars were launched in 1999 by Jonathan Drew and Marvin Samel, co-founders of Drew Estate. The name "ACID" doesn’t stand for anything chemically sinister—it’s actually a nod to Scott "ACID" Chester, a New York artist and biker whose edgy, urban aesthetic helped shape the brand’s identity. Think street art meets steampunk.

The Infusion Process (a.k.a. “Witchcraft”):

ACID cigars aren’t just flavored—they’re infused. This isn’t your gas-station vanilla tip job. Drew Estate uses a secretive process involving over 140 botanicals, herbs, essential oils, and natural flavors. Cigars are aged in “aroma rooms” to absorb these infusions, creating unique profiles that can't be duplicated.

(Don’t ask for the exact recipe. They guard it like the Colonel’s chicken.)

ACID Cigar Lines:

The brand is divided into four core color-coded lines, each offering a different style of smoke:

Blue Line (e.g., Blondie, Kuba Kuba):

  • Sweet-tipped, aromatic, smooth

  • Floral, herbal, with a mellow to medium strength

  • Perfect intro to infused cigars

Red Line (e.g., Liquid, Nasty):

  • Spicier and bolder

  • Stronger tobacco presence with less sweetness

  • Great for traditional smokers who want a twist

Black Line (e.g., One, Toast):

  • Rare and boutique-like

  • Sleek packaging, refined infusions

  • Limited availability

Gold Line (e.g., Cold Infusion Tea):

  • Tea, citrus, and lighter herbaceous notes

  • Mild, aromatic, and great with an afternoon cocktail or iced tea
