Product details
Blue Cheese is a full Nicaraguan puro — wrapper, binder, and filler all from the same country — rolled at AJ Fernandez's Tabacalera Annex in Estelí. The name comes from the blue security strip on a $100 bill, and the cigar carries that same kind of weight. At 6×52, it's a substantial smoke with a silky, oily Habano wrapper that tells you right away this one means business.
The blend draws from two Nicaraguan growing regions — Estelí and Jalapa — each bringing something different to the table. Estelí adds strength and backbone, Jalapa brings a natural sweetness and complexity, and the Habano wrapper ties it all together with an earthy, spicy character that runs clean and even from first light to last draw.
Flavor-wise you're getting creamy espresso and dark chocolate up front, roasted almond and sweet wood developing through the middle, and a subtle savory finish with a black pepper close that lingers without overstaying its welcome. Medium-full in strength, complex without being difficult, and consistent enough to earn a permanent spot in the humidor.
